I spent the day filming with the police motorbike team as they enforced the rolling road closure at the Tour de Yorkshire last week. I joined them at the start of the women's race in Barnsley and jumped out at the stage finish in Bedale to edit the story I'd just filmed. I've covered many bike races over the years but never had the opportunity to see how the police keep the riders and spectators safe. It was a fascinating experience.
