Afghan Anonymous

An Afghan refugee who lives in Sheffield says he's desperate for his family in Afghanistan to be brought to the UK because he fears they're going to be be killed by the Taliban. 'Abdul', which is not his real name so we can protect his identity, says his mother, two sisters and two brothers are living on the streets in Kabul having fled their home. He says they were beaten-up and threatened by the Taliban after their home was raided and the Taliban found a book in English.

  1. This story is so terrible I don't know what to comment. I will have to pray for this young Afghani, his family stuck and homeless in Kabul - with threats of torture and worse - and the 20 young people like him in the Sheffield area who are in similar circumstances to him !
How has our country come to this !
