This week I went to film and edit a report about the first press conference of Barnsley Football Club's new head coach Valérien Ismaël. He says he's hoping to go one better than just surviving in the Championship as the Reds did last season...
I really enjoyed meeting Hayley Ekwubiri. She's a hairdresser from Sheffield who's made a salon in her own garden shed! Hayley says the shed salon - or shalon! - provides her customers with more privacy. That's particularly valuable because she often fits wigs for people with hair loss.

Because of social distancing and how small the shed was, we could only film from the doorway so we decided to tell the story with an as live rather than a more conventional report.
I had the great pleasure this week of filming with Trevor Walford from Keighley. He was so desperate to find work that he handed his CV out to people at Leeds train station and he's now started a new job training waiters at a group of restaurants in Yorkshire. He'd previously applied for 700 jobs online without success. I went to film with him on his first day in the job.
I made a preview of the women's road race at the cycling World Championships. Two Yorkshire Lizzies were competing for Great Britain - Lizzie Deignan from Otley and Lizzy Banks from Sheffield. Deignan finished in 6th and Banks in 63rd.
