Cycling in Yorkshire

With the Tour de Yorkshire starting today, I've been looking at whether there's a growth in the number of people cycling. According to Sport England, since the Tour de France came here in 2014, Yorkshire has the second highest number of cyclists in England.  But campaigners say there's still a long way to go.

  1. Brilliant idea - bike library ! Yes, of course, as this packet indicates, when the environment feels safe (and pretty) people will cycle ! I am frightened to cycle where I live - there are no cycle lanes and motorists race past too close to me often. I wouldn't cycle down our high street. all costs money - needs realisation how good cycling can be for us
