A Barnsley business that sells surplus food to key workers and people on benefits has started advising some of the world's biggest food companies. The Company Shop deals with thousands of tonnes of food that would otherwise go to waste.

There is a similar project run by a charity in Didcot Oxfordshire called Community Larder which uses surplus food from supermarkets but it's not at all on the scale of this one in Barnsley and area.
