Wakefield Masterplan Live

I reported live from Wakefield on a plan to transform the city centre over the next twenty years. As people do more and more shopping online, the proposals include demolishing old, empty shops to create more public space. There are also plans to limit traffic in the city centre, create more green areas and build more affordable homes in the centre. This sort of development is happening in towns and cities across the country as our habits change.

  1. Yes this is an interesting move to get us back into our town centres which will have more green spaces and fewer cars !
    Let's hope this works.

  2. ... but as an Oldie, I regret the shops disappearing - it's much more fun to choose your own items especially clothes, in person ...
