I've been to film with the widow of a former Kirklees Council joiner who died from asbestos-related cancer who's received a settlement of more than a million pounds following his death. 67-year-old Rick Oakes from York, died after being diagnosed with the cancer mesothelioma after being exposed to asbestos while working decades earlier.
